The EWS yard at Bow, is currently being used to store and remove materials, used in the construction of the 2012 London Olympic site.

From the end of the M11, keep in the left hand lane, and join the A406 North Circular Road. Leave at the next junction, taking the 3rd main exit and follow the A12, signposted towards Stratford. Continue for roughly 5.5 miles, and on the approach to the B142 junction, keep in the left hand lane and take the slip road. At the junction, immediately in front of you, is the entrance to Bow Midland Yard. From here, turn left then first right, and park up. To view the yard, walk back past the entrance and follow the footpath to the left. The shunter may be seen from here, although buildings and construction materials, may hamper your view.

Alternatively, and maybe the best way, is to view Bow from a passing train. A Liverpool Street to Stratford service will suffice. If using this option, look to your left after passing through Bethnal Green station. The cost for a return ticket, is £8.
